Yayayayayay more quizlet!
My kids loved using quizlet to talk about Boston! What I found to be most interesting was how one student did his flashcards comparatively (ex: side a - Boston side b - Haifa). They had fun learning about the differences and similarities between Haifa and Boston, especially how baseball is huge in Boston (Go Red Sox!!).
For this unit, I decided to try out the word cloud generator. I absolutely love the concept of this for my third graders who are learning sight words! This week they are learning the letter H. Now that they know the letters C and H and they know the ending -at, my partner and I decided to read them The Cat In The Hat. Word cloud generator can definitely help them with sight and rhyming words since the words "cat" and "hat" are two of the most common words. I decided to limit the "number of words" section to 8 words so that it isn't too many words for the kids, but it also is a good amount to have them study and learn over the next week.
